Our School

Ever since smart screens have replaced the black board and chalk, educational scenario has been witnessing revolutionary changes. The pandemic gave the necessary impetus that hastened the transformation. Our school stood strong throughout the period with its clear vision and mission objective. With utmost care, DPS emphasizes on the specific development of each and every student. We uphold a global perspective rooted in values. Within a brief period, the school has set a bench mark for quality education safeguarding the ethos of Indian culture.
The motto “Service before Self” best explains the commitment of the school towards the society. We are sure that our presence will create ripples of changes as we believe change is the end result of all true learning.
We are hopeful that the best days are yet to come and together as members of one single family we await a blessed and fulfilling academic year 2023-2024.
May I take this space to quote my most favorite lines of renowned mystic poet Khalil Gibran:

In all the world, there is nothing more beautiful than a happy child. And it is this happy child today who will rule the world tomorrow.
As educators it is our primary responsibility to foster an environment that is conducive to happy learning. As education is not just the learning of facts but the training of the mind to think, it is important to strike a balance which is the key to everything; what we do, think, say, eat, feel, they all require awareness and through this awareness, we foster growth.
At DPS Kollam, every one in every position is a teacher. There may be many job titles but we all share the same role and that is to help our children become their best selves.
For me, the most important aspect of being a teacher is my relationship with my students, knowing that I have made an impact on their lives and helped to shape their future, being inspired by them and inspiring their minds to believe, to dream and to achieve; it’s the best thing in the whole world.

As we enter the new academic year, I am grateful to the management for bestowing this opportunity to ensure holistic education at DPS Kollam.
